Issues
The Constitution
While other nations rewrite their constitutions to fit the shifting winds of politics, ours has stood the test of time because it is rooted in eternal truths: that our rights come from God, not government, and that every American is created equal under the law. It defines our freedoms, outlines our system of checks and balances, and limits the power of government to protect the liberty of the people.
Voter ID
This isn’t a partisan issue, it’s a matter of trust in our democracy. In poll after poll, nearly 80% of Americans support Voter ID requirements, including over 60% of Democrats. That tells you everything you need to know.
Election integrity is the cornerstone of a free republic. If we can’t trust our elections, we can’t trust the outcomes. It’s time for Washington to catch up with the will of the people and secure our elections with uniform Voter ID laws, because every legal vote should count, and every illegal vote should be stopped.
2nd Amendment
Far too often, we are confronted with horrific acts of violence committed by individuals with evil and unstable intentions. These tragedies are heartbreaking, and they demand serious attention to the real root causes, including our nation’s growing mental health crisis.
But even in the face of such events, I stand firm in my support for the Second Amendment and the fundamental right to armed self-defense. In an imperfect and sometimes dangerous world, law-abiding Americans must retain the right to protect themselves, their families, and their property.
I will never support policies that punish responsible gun owners for the actions of criminals. We don’t need more restrictions on our rights; we need real solutions that address mental health, enforce existing laws, and hold violent offenders accountable.
Our Constitution is clear: the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. And as your representative, I will always defend that right because freedom, safety, and responsibility go hand in hand.
Men in Women's Sports
It’s unfortunate that we’ve arrived at a point in our society where this has even become a real issue, but our campaign stands firmly for protecting the integrity and safety of women’s sports and spaces. No men in women’s sports and no boys in girls’ locker rooms, period. Allowing biological males to compete against women not only undermines fair competition but also erases and takes away what it truly means to be a woman. Forcing girls to share private spaces with boys threatens their privacy and security. We believe in common-sense policies that respect biological reality, protect opportunities for female athletes, and defend the dignity and identity of women. It shouldn’t even be controversial, but it’s time to draw a clear line and stand up for what’s right.
Parental Rights
As a father of two daughters, I take parental rights personally, and any attempt by the government, schools, or outside forces to undermine those rights is unacceptable and infuriating. I’m grateful that Tennessee has taken steps to protect parental authority, but let’s be clear: the radical left is aggressively pushing an agenda that seeks to override parents and indoctrinate our children with their immoral and extremist beliefs.
I’ve seen it firsthand. As a substitute teacher, I’ve witnessed how even here in Tennessee, some educators are using the classroom to push political and social ideologies rather than focus on teaching the basics: reading, writing, math, and real-world skills.
Let me be clear: discussions about gender identity, sexuality, and other deeply personal matters belong at home, not in the classroom. Schools are for education, not indoctrination. And I will always stand up for the rights of parents to have the final say in what their children are taught and exposed to.
As your representative, I will fight to keep our schools focused on academic excellence and moral clarity, not liberal activism. Parents know what’s best for their children, not bureaucrats, not activist teachers, and certainly not Washington politicians.
Illegal Immigration
Under the Biden administration, nearly 11 million illegal immigrants have crossed our southern border, and that doesn’t even include the countless “got-aways” who evaded law enforcement entirely. This is not sustainable. America is full, and we cannot continue to overextend our resources by providing taxpayer-funded benefits like healthcare, housing, and cash assistance to those who broke our laws to get here.
According to Steven A. Camarota, Director of Research at the Center for Immigration Studies, illegal immigrants are a net fiscal drain, receiving more in public services than they contribute in taxes. That’s not just unfair, it’s unacceptable.
Democrat leaders like Hakeem Jeffries have tried to mislead the American people, recently claiming that “not a single illegal immigrant received a penny in government aid”. That’s a blatant lie. The truth is, several states have expanded Medicaid and CHIP programs to include illegal immigrants, regardless of their legal status. In fact, the National Immigration Law Center provides maps and data proving it.
Enough is enough. We must secure our border, enforce our immigration laws and put American citizens first. Our schools, hospitals, and communities are stretched thin, and Biden and the democrats’ previous open-border policies only made it worse. As your representative, I will fight to continue to push for law and order at our border and protect the integrity of our nation.

Affordable Healthcare
Healthcare costs are out of control, and Tennesseans are feeling the pain.
Even though more Tennesseans have health insurance today, too many are still struggling to afford care. Out-of-pocket expenses, what people pay directly for treatment, are rising faster than inflation. As a result, families are putting off doctor visits, skipping needed treatments, and racking up crushing medical debt. That’s not just a healthcare issue, it’s a quality-of-life issue.
Having worked in healthcare and on the front lines in major hospitals, I’ve seen the system’s failures up close. The Physicians Advocacy Institute reports that from 2019 to 2024, rural Tennessee lost 362 independent doctors and 344 independent medical practices. That kind of consolidation, where hospitals and big corporations swallow up private practices, raises red flags. From my perspective, it often means less access, higher costs, and declining quality of care, especially in rural communities. Keep in mind that Tennessee’s 6th District is 52% Rural.
I may not have a perfect solution, but I know we can’t keep going down this path. Healthcare must remain affordable, accessible, and accountable, especially for seniors, veterans, and working families.
There are multiple spokes in the wheel when it comes to rising healthcare costs, drug pricing, provider consolidation, billing transparency, and insurance red tape. We need common-sense, conservative reforms that preserve quality care without expanding government bureaucracy or stripping away patient choice.
As your representative, I will fight to protect Medicare, strengthen rural healthcare, and put patients, not profits, first. Healthcare shouldn't bankrupt Americans. It should serve them.
Lowering Taxes
Our tax code is broken, bloated, overly complicated, and unfair to hardworking Americans. It’s time we simplify the system and make it easier for Middle Tennesseans to file their taxes without needing an army of accountants.
Families across our region are paying more than their fair share, while Washington continues to waste billions on pet projects and bloated bureaucracy. The solution isn’t to squeeze more from taxpayers, it’s to cut taxes for individuals and families, expand the standard deduction, and increase family tax credits that directly benefit those doing the right thing: working hard, raising kids, and contributing to their communities.
Some may argue that tax cuts add to the national debt, but the real problem is reckless, nonsensical government spending. We don’t have a revenue problem in this country; we have a spending problem. As your representative, I’ll fight to lower your tax burden and demand that Washington tightens its belt just like every family in Tennessee has to.
Law and Order
I cannot overstate the importance of law and order to the safety and prosperity of our beautiful state and this great nation. We are blessed to live in a region that proudly backs the men and women of law enforcement, but that support must be matched with action.
As your representative, I will always stand with the brave officers who make up our thin blue line. I will fight to ensure they have the tools, training, and resources they need to take criminals off our streets and keep them there. That means holding violent offenders accountable, not giving them a free pass to continue terrorizing our communities.
I will also introduce legislation to make it a serious offense to conceal one’s identity while committing crimes against law enforcement or during violent protests. In too many places, we’ve seen radical agitators attack police and destroy property, only to be released without consequence. That ends with me.
Without strong laws and real consequences, crime festers. I will not stand by while our communities are threatened. I will work every day to protect your right to live in peace, free from fear, and secure in your own neighborhood.
Strong Military
As a proud United States Army veteran, I know firsthand the importance of a strong, well-prepared military. In today’s world, where the threats of nuclear conflict, cyber warfare, and foreign aggression are all too real, we must remain vigilant and ready to defend our freedoms, our borders, and our way of life.
America cannot afford to fall behind. Peace is achieved through strength, not weakness. Our enemies must understand that any threat to the United States or to the people of Tennessee will be met with swift and decisive action. We must send a clear message: if you challenge our resolve, you will face the full force of American strength.
We must also invest in next-generation defense technologies to ensure our military stays ahead of adversaries like China, Iran, and Russia. Superiority in innovation, intelligence, and capability will not only deter conflict, it will keep Americans safe.
I will always fight to make sure our armed forces are respected, equipped, and prepared to meet any challenge, anywhere in the world.
Protecting the Unborn
Since Roe was decided in 1973, over 63 million innocent lives have been lost to abortion. That is more than any war, genocide, or natural disaster in our nation's history. These were children—filled with potential, purpose, and promise—whose lives were ended before they even had a chance to begin. This is a tragedy we cannot ignore.
Abortion is not healthcare. It is the taking of a human life. And when we fail to protect the most vulnerable among us, we lose part of our own humanity. We must be a voice for the voiceless, defenders of the defenseless, and champions for a culture that cherishes life at every stage.
I understand this is a deeply divisive issue. But as a nation, we must ask ourselves: if we don’t value the life of a child in the womb, what do we truly value? I will always stand up for life and fight to ensure that our laws reflect the sanctity of every human being.
Let us be a nation that chooses life, supports mothers, and affirms the dignity of every child born and unborn.
Lowering Inflation
Inflation is driven by a range of policies: monetary, fiscal, supply-side, wage pressures, and more. But here in Tennessee, I believe the path to real relief runs through solutions that put our people and our businesses first.
Deregulation is key. By cutting burdensome red tape on Tennessee businesses, we lower production costs, boost supply, and create an environment where prices can come down. The government needs to get out of the way and let our job creators thrive.
Trade matters. We should work closely with our trading partners to reduce tariffs and unnecessary trade barriers. This increases the availability of goods and helps keep prices in check for hardworking Tennesseans.
Invest in Tennessee’s future. Strategic investment in key industries—manufacturing, agriculture, and advanced technologies—will strengthen our supply chains, grow our economy, and ensure we can meet rising demand without driving up costs.
Lower energy costs now. Energy is the backbone of every industry. That’s why I support President Trump’s “Drill, baby, drill” approach to American energy independence. We must unleash domestic energy production, reduce our reliance on foreign oil, and make energy affordable for every household and business.
Middle Tennesseans are tired of policies that punish producers and drive up costs. I will fight for a pro-growth, pro-energy, pro-Tennessee agenda that brings down inflation and restores economic stability for working families
Religious Freedom
As Americans, we have the God-given right to live, think, and believe according to our moral values and principles. That’s what religious freedom is all about, and it’s one of the most sacred rights we possess.
Religious liberty isn’t just a tradition, it’s a constitutional guarantee. It ensures that every individual has the right to believe, or not believe, according to their conscience, free from government interference or punishment. It protects our churches, our faith-based institutions, and every citizen who chooses to live by their convictions.
But today, religious freedom is under attack. Radical activists and government overreach are trying to silence people of faith and push God out of the public square. That is unacceptable.
As your representative, I will fight to preserve and defend religious liberty in Tennessee and across this nation. Every American should be free to worship, speak, and raise their family in accordance with their faith, without compromise, without fear, and without apology.
A strong and free society begins with faith, and I will always stand on the side of those who honor God and uphold His truth.
